In Memory of Timothy Charles Jackson
Son of the late Reaser Lee Wingate-Jackson and Andrew Jackson was born on December 7, 1956 at the District of Columbia General Hospital, Washington, DC. He entered into rest on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home in Garfield Terrace, 2301 11th Street NW.
A native Washingtonian, he worked for Murry’s Steaks Store chain for many years as a stock associate until he became very ill. He was very strong willed in his beliefs and family values.
He encouraged his grandchildren, sons, nieces and nephews to be their best taking full advantage of opportunities life has to offer. Timothy loved each sincerely and he would be either a proponent or defender of them depending on what was necessary. The time he spent with his grand babies filled him with love. It was his greatest joy and brought him lots of happiness.
As a Brother, Father, and Grandpa, Timothy Charles Jackson you will be missed.
You have now joined God. Rest in Peace. He leaves to cherish his memories: Two sons, Timothy Locks-Jackson (Tarhesha) and Kevin Locks-Jackson; Grandchildren: Chanyla, Timothy, Trinton, and Kevin Jackson, Jr.; Brother: Joseph Wingate-Bey (Patsy); Two Sisters: Shirley Ann Jackson and Phyllis Ruth Jackson; Two Aunts: Sally Kennedy and Beatrice Fitzpatrick; very close nephew Reginald Jackson (Tammy); a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Ruth Dews; Sister Anna Marie Jackson (Jones-Wiggins), and Brother David Lee Jackson-El.
When I Must Leave You
By Helen Steiner Rice
When I must leave you for a little while-Please do not grieve
And shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years,
But start out bravely with a gallant smile; and for my sake and for my name
Live on and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill
Each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort you
And hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die for I am waiting for you in the sky!
